Eren Holding keen on investing in projects in Kazakhstan

Prime Minister Alikhan Smailov and Chairman of Turkiye's Eren Holding Ahmet Eren met in Astana to discuss the prospects for the launch of new investment projects in various sectors of Kazakhstan economy.

Alikhan Smailov said that the Government of Kazakhstan highly values the Turkish holding’s intention to invest in the projects in Kazakhstan. In his words, more than 4,000 Turkish-invested companies are operating in Kazakhstan today.

Smailov expressed confidence that the existing level of trust between the two countries and common aspiration for cooperation will enable the sides to open new prospects.

He reminded that Kazakhstan had created all required conditions for investors. As known, foreign investors implementing projects in priority sectors are exempted of customs duties and are enjoy various tax preferences.

In turn, Ahmet Eren said his holding is ready to study promising projects in Kazakhstan to take appropriate investment decisions.

“We are planning to expand and consider new opportunities for cooperation. This may be production of paper, energy, textile industry. We are also ready to invest in mining industry. We have technologies enabling us to achieve high quality in work. In this regard, we would like to jointly discuss the issue of investments,” said Ahmet Eren.

The sides agreed to discuss a pool of promising investment projects int eh territory of Kazakhstan and maintain an active dialogue in all relevant issues.
