Yesbol Sultanov named head coach of Kazakhstan taekwondo team

Yesbol Sultanov has been appointed the head coach of Kazakhstan’s taekwondo team, Kazinform News Agency learned from the National Olympic Committee.

According to the Kazakhstan Taekwondo Federation, previously, he was a member of the national team coaching staff. In different years, he worked as an assistant in the cadet, youth and adult teams.

In 2023, Yesbol Sultanov joined the national team of Tunisia as a head coach, with which he achieved considerable success, such as gold and bronze medals of the 2024 Paris Olympics, numerous awards from the African Championships and the African Games, as well as international tournaments.

In 2024, the World Taekwondo presented Yesbol Sultanov with the Coach of the Year award.

Yesbol Sultanov has 15 years of coaching experience.
