EU High Representative: «Six» hopes to resume talks with Iran

BRUSSELS. July 17. KAZINFORM - "Six" of international mediators hopes to resume talks with Iran as soon as possible and forward to early appointment of a new representative of Tehran in negotiations over Iran's nuclear program. This was announced by Catherine Ashton, EU High Representative for Foreign Affairs and Security Policy, following the last meeting of "six" reps on the level of "political directors".

"Of course, we are waiting for appointment of the negotiating group on Iran. We hope that this will happen soon and we look forward to meeting with them as soon as possible", said Ashton.

According to EU High Representative, the participants of the talks, held in Brussels, stated their positions and exchanged views on how to move forward to diplomatic solution towards Iranian nuclear issue.

It bears to remind that last round of talks between Iran and the international mediators on Iran's nuclear program took place in April in Almaty city. Kazakhstan will make every effort to create environment conducive to fruitful negotiations.
