Eurasian Development Bank delegation discuss EurAsEC Anti-Crisis Fund projects in Yerevan

ALMATY. September 4. KAZINFORM — Yesterday the delegation of the Eurasian Development Bank (EDB), headed by the deputy chairman Sergey Shatalov has visited Yerevan.

During the visit there were discussed the EurAsEC Anti-Crisis Fund's activity which financial resources are managed by the bank.

The delegation met with the Minister of Transport and Communications of the Republic of Armenia Gagik Beglaryan. The round table agreed the preparation schedule for "Construction of road transport corridor" project North- South", phase 4" and its submission to the summit of the Anti-Crisis Fund for final approval. The project worth USD 100 million is being prepared with the Asian Development Bank.

In addition, consultations were held with the manager of the World Bank for the Republic of Armenia Jean-Michel Happi. The sides discussed issues of joint preparation and implementation of projects as well as donor conference in Armenia in the conduct of which the EDB plans to take an active part.

The delegation also met with Teresa Daban Sanchez, newly appointed Representative of the International Monetary Fund in Armenia. The meeting focused on recent macroeconomic developments and prospects of the country and the coordination of activities of the two institutions.
