Eurasian Development Bank finances project on development of Kazakh export infrastructure

ALMATY. January 20. KAZINFORM Eurasian Development Bank starts financing of a project on the development of export of grain. In accordance with the credit agreement signed, by Deputy CEO of the Bank Kambar Shalgimbayev and Director General of ?Holding ?Kazeksportastyk? JSC Igor Yermolenko, the bank allocates USD 18.9 mln for the project for the term of 5 years, Kazinform refers to the press service of the bank.

The main purpose of the project is to increase the export of grain to Turkey, Italy, Iran and other countries that are main consumers of Kazakh durum wheat through the development of flour manufacture, storage capacities, and export infrastructure in North Kazakhstan region of our country. The project corresponds to the strategy of the Eurasian Development Bank. It influences sustainable economic growth and diversification of Kazakhstan?s economy through the development of agriculture and infrastructure for grain export.
