Eurasian Economic Union Treaty to be signed in Astana today
ASTANA. KAZINFORM - The Treaty on establishment of the Eurasian Economic Union (EAEU) is set to be signed in Astana today. The Eurasian Economic Union will become operational on January 1, 2015.

Leaders of three EAEU member states - President of Kazakhstan Nursultan Nazarbayev, President of Russia Vladimir Putin and President of Belarus Alexander Lukashenko will participate in the historical signing. It is expected that the presidents of Armenia and Kyrgyzstan who plan to join the union in the future will attend the signing ceremony. The EAEU Summit in Astana will discuss Armenia's accession to the Eurasian Economic Union Treaty. Initially comprising three states, the Eurasian Economic Union will create a common market with the population of 170 million people. Conditions for free movement of goods, services, capital and manpower will be created within the EAEU.
