Euro 2016 round-up: Switzerland and Slovenia keep up pursuit of England
Switzerland, who are the top seeds in the group but had a disastrous opening to their campaign after losing at home to England and then away in Slovenia, are now back on track to reach the finals in France after a third successive victory, despatching Estonia 3-0 in Lucerne, with the Basel defender Fabian Schär heading home the opening goal from a Xherdan Shaqiri cross, and Granit Xhaka doubling the advantage before a late third from Haris Seferovic.
Slovenia had the rather simpler task of seeing off the group's whipping boys, San Marino, and were ahead inside 10 minutes through Josip Ilicic in Ljubljana. They added five more goals in the second half to complete a 6-0 victory that keeps them second behind England.
Slovakia remain the surprise leaders of Group C, their 3-0 win over Luxembourgensuring they stay three points ahead of Spain, who defeated Ukraine 1-0 in Seville courtesy of the Juventus forward Álvaro Morata's first-half strike. Belarusclimb above Macedonia after coming from behind to beat them 2-1 in Skopje.
Zlatan Ibrahimovic scored both the goals for Sweden as they won 2-0 in Moldovato remain second in Group G, which Austria lead following their 5-0 victory inLiechtenstein, with Stoke City's Marko Arnautovic among the scorers.
