Events dedicated to 20th anniversary of Kazakhstan's independence continue in Turkey

ASTANA. March 3. KAZINFORM The Kazakh Embassy in Turkey continues its activities dedicated to the 20th anniversary of Kazakhstan's independence and establishment of the bilateral cooperation between Kazakhstan and Turkey, the press service of the Embassy reports.

Kazakh Ambassador Zhanseit Tuimebayev has paid a working visit to Kayseri Province which is one of the leading industrial provinces of Turkey.

In Kayseri Z.Tuimebayev met with Kayseri Governor Mevlut Bilici and Mayor Mehmet Ozhaseki, Chairman of the Board of Directors of Kayseri Chamber of Industry Mustafa Boydak, CEO of "Boydak Holding" Memduh Boydak, Rector of the Erciyes University, Professor Fahrettin Kelestimur.

At the meeting with Mevlut Bilici the Kazakh Ambassador discussed a wide range of cooperation issues between Kazakhstan and Turkey in trade, economic, cultural, humanitarian spheres, etc.

Issues of trade, economic, scientific and technical cooperation within the Agreement on Strategic Partnership signed in October, 2009 were discussed at the meeting with Kayseri Mayor Mehmet Ozhaseki.

Z.Tuimebayev accompanied by the Kazakh businessmen also visited one of the biggest industrial zones of Turkey - the Kayseri Organized Industrial Zone (OIZ).

A business forum with participation of the Kazakh Ambassador, Governor Mevlut Bilici and representatives of business community of Kazakhstan and Turkey was held within the visit as well. The Ambassador informed the participants of the forum about the main directions and initiatives of Kazakhstan during the OSCE presidency, Kazakhstan's OIC presidency in 2011. He also briefed on the main provisions of the new industrial-innovative development program of Kazakhstan, potential areas for foreign investments. Z.Tuimebayev told about 80 industrial-innovative projects of Kazakhstan and called on the Turkish manufacturers to use the opportunities created within the industrial-innovative development program and the Customs Union between Kazakhstan, Russia and Belarus.

Representatives of the Turkish business community expressed interest in establishing close contacts with Kazakhstan.
