?Everyone is important!?: National Census 2009

ASTANA. February 16. KAZINFORM /Bauyrzhan Mukanov/ National Census will be held under the motto ?Everyone is important?, Anar Meshimbayeva, Chairman of he Kazakh Agency for Statistics has said at the Government?s telephone conference today, Kazinform reports.

?On January 1, 2009 the estimated number of population made 15 mln 778 thousand people. Today we start training of 58 thousand ?counters?. According to our calculations, every ?counter? will poll about 290 people?, A. Meshimbayeva said. During the period of February 21-24 local akimats organize meetings of the citizens with the counters. The national census will be held from February 25 till March 6, 2009. KZT 6 bln is envisaged for its organization in whole. The results of the census will be published by autumn 2009.
