Ex-Jordanian PM praises Kazakhstan's success

ASTANA. January 15. KAZINFORM On Monday, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Kazakhstan to Jordan Bulat Sarsenbayev met with former Prime Minister of the country and now a prominent businessman Samir Rifai.

At the meeting the sides exchanged views on the current developments in the region and touched upon further development of the bilateral cooperation in trade and investments spheres between Kazakhstan and Jordan, the press release of the Kazakh Embassy reads.

The ex-Jordanian politician praised Kazakhstan's achievements over the last years, especially election of Astana as the host city of the international specialized exhibition EXPO-2017.

S. Rifai was honored with a jubilee medal "20 Years of the Initiative of Convocation of CICA".

Samir Rifai was Prime Minister of Jordan from December 2009 through February 2011. Both his father and grandfather were prime ministers of the country. S. Rifai visited Astana back in September 2010 and held talks with then Prime Minister Karim Massimov.
