Exhibition of M. Baitenov opened in Astana

ASTANA. November 13. KAZINFORM /Gulnara Zhandagulova/ Personal jubilee exhibition of member of the USSR Union of Artists, artist Mazhit Baitenov has been opened at Astana Museum of Modern Art.  

In 1973 he was the first in the country to use graphic devices of applied and decorative arts in easel painting. Next following years this principal began to be widely used in graphic arts of Kazakhstan. The artist uses traditional and avant-garde graphic devices.

At present, 35 works of art have been presented at the exhibition. They are 33 graphic canvases created from 1975 to 2009 as "Appak Baizhanov", "The Shades of Ancestry" and others.

The exhibition is scheduled on November, 13 - December, 3.
