Explosion at Mogadishu's Somali national theatre

LONDON. April 4. KAZINFORM At least seven people have been killed in an explosion at the newly opened national theatre in Somalia's capital.

A policeman told the AP news agency that a suicide bomb targeted the theatre during a function, BBC News reports.

A Somali National TV source told the BBC that the head of the national Olympic committee and a minister are believed to be among the dead.

The theatre closed in the early 1990s as Somalia descended into civil war and was reopened last month.
