EXPO 2017 complex may serve as venue for high-profile events in future

ASTANA. KAZINFORM - Today, President of Kazakhstan Nursultan Nazarbayev has surveyed facilities of the future EXPO 2017 exhibition center in Astana and chaired a special meeting with NC Astana EXPO-2017 JSC leadership where utmost attention was paid to the construction progress., the Akorda's press service informs.

At the meeting, Nursultan Nazarbayev stressed that major concern for the Government is to determine how the EXPO facilities can be used after the exhibition.

"It is high time to determine how the EXPO complex will be used in the future. Perhaps, it will become a venue for international events, military or agro-industrial exhibitions. International banks and mass media have already expressed wish to open their offices at the complex. In general, the fate of all facilities should be determined by autumn 2017," President Nazarbayev said at the meeting.
