EXPO 2017 to solidify Astana's prestige

ASTANA. KAZINFORM - Today, President of Kazakhstan Nursultan Nazarbayev has surveyed facilities of the future EXPO 2017 exhibition center in Astana and chaired a special meeting with NC Astana EXPO-2017 JSC leadership where utmost attention was paid to the construction progress., the Akorda's press service informs.

At the meeting, the Kazakh leader stressed that the overriding goal of EXPO 2017 event is to demonstrate Kazakhstan's achievements and potential to international community.

Nursultan Nazarbayev added that the project will solidify Astana's prestige.

"The exhibition is a chance to present quite a new view of the Kazakh capital. The EXPO complex is fully suited to the requirements of the 21st century. For residents and guests, it presents a unique opportunity to look into the future, see scientific achievements and marvel at the beauty of the constructed facilities," the Head of State added.
