Extended meeting of CIS Foreign Ministers Council starts in Bishkek
An extended meeting of the CIS Council of Foreign Ministers has begun in Bishkek, under the chairmanship of Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Kyrgyz Republic Jeenbek Kulubaev, Kazinform Agency learned from KABAR.
The foreign ministers have already had a meeting in a closed-door format.
The meeting will discuss a wide range of issues, including holding the next meeting of the CIS Foreign Ministers in Minsk in April 2024.
As reported, on October 13, Bishkek will host a meeting of the CIS Heads of State Council under the chairmanship of President of Kyrgyzstan Sadyr Japarov. The meeting will adopt important decisions aimed at the expansion and strengthening of cooperation of the CIS member states in trade-economic and cultural-humanitarian spheres, according to Muratbek Azymbakiyev, Chief of the Foreign Policy Department of the Kazakh President's Executive Office.
Kyrgyzstan chairs the CIS in 2023.
