Extreme heat and hail expected in Kazakhstan

ASTANA. KAZINFORM - Freak weather is set to persist in northern, eastern and central Kazakhstan today, July 30, according to Kazhydromet, Kazakhstan's national forecaster. Rains, thunderstorms, stiff wind, fog and hail are expected in the country.

Wind will strengthen up to 15-20m per sec in the Karaganda and South Kazakhstan regions.

Strong wind gusting to 25m per sec and hail will hit the East Kazakhstan, Pavlodar, Akmola regions.

It will be foggy in the Kostanay and North Kazakhstan regions. Extreme heat will take hold of western Kazakhstan. Fire hazard remains extremely high in southern and central Kazakhstan.
