Extremism has nothing to do with religion: conference in Atyrau
ATYRAU. December 25. KAZINFORM A scientific practical conference "Islam and national interests" with the participation of Kazakhstan's Supreme Mufti Absattar Kazhy Derbisali has taken place in Atyrau.

Participants of the conference tabled tasks in the religious sphere set by President Nazarbayev in his recent state-of-the-nation address. Those present noted 'faith in God has nothing to do with religious extremism.'
Extremism and terrorism in Kazakhstan come from the criminal world; astigmatic fanaticism is alien to psychology and mentality of the Kazakh people.
"We have a lot of problems to cope with in the field of religion, this is a fact. And we need to join our efforts to eradicate those problems," Governor of the region Baktykozha Izmukhambetov told the conference.
