Famous Mexican-American singer Rivera dies in plane crash
MEXICO. December 10. KAZINFORM Famous Mexican-American singer Jenni Rivera was killed in a plane crash that left no survivors in the northeast of Mexico, Communications and Transport Minister Gerardo Ruiz Esparza said on Monday.

A privately-owned Learjet carrying Rivera and other passengers disappeared off the radar some 100 kilometers from the city of Monterrey about 3:30 am local time on Sunday. The wreckage was later discovered in the state of Nuevo-Leon, RIA Novosti informs.
"Unfortunately the plane was completely destroyed," Esparza said adding that a special investigation is necessary to identify the remains of the plane and its passengers.
The 43-year-old singer was born in the United States to immigrant Mexican parents and sold some 15 million records throughout her career. She was the winner of many musical awards as well as was nominated several times for Grammy.
