Financing of healthcare increased by KZT 30bln in Almaty region

TALDYKORGAN. February 9. KAZINFORM. /Sandugash Duissenova/ Financing of the healthcare sector of Almaty region in 2008 amounted to KZT 30 billion as against KZT 25.3 billion in 2007. Chief of the regional department of healthcare Maralbek Meirbekov said at the sitting of the board devoted to the results of 2008.

According to him, per capita expenses increased from KZT 11 626 in 2007 to 15 498 in 2008. Regional hospital of Taldykorgan town opened an endocrinology department for 40 beds. Rural outpatient clinic in Konyrolen village was reorganized in a 15-bed rural hospital. 45 dental rooms were opened in the regional schools. KZT 815 million was spent for basic repair of 72 health facilities.
