Financing of transport projects in Kazakhstan discussed with Slovak delegation
ASTANA. February 17. KAZINFORM Financing of investment projects of the Kazakh Ministry of Transport and Communications by Slovak bank ?Eximbank SR? on the basis of state-private partnership, joint financing or joint ventures was discussed at the meeting of Chairman of ?Kazakh Center of State-Private Partnership? JSC Bolat Smagulov with a delegation of the Slovak Republic, Kazinform refers to the press service of the Center.
The Slovak delegation was headed by Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary Ambassador of the Slovak Republic to Kazakhstan Dushan Podgorski.
B.Smagulov briefed on the activity of ?Kazakh Center of State-Private Partnership? JSC and current and planned concessionary projects. He paid special attention to the projects in the transport sector, in particular, the construction of West China-West Europe corridor.
B.Smagulov informed that Kazakhstan created all necessary conditions for increasing investors? interest in infrastructural projects of our country. He also informed the delegation of the plans of the country to develop state-private partnership at local level.
D.Podgorski informed that Slovak companies had big experience in realization of such projects. ?We are ready to share our experience with Kazakhstan?, the Ambassador said. He also said that Slovak companies were interested in realization of a range of large projects in Kazakhstan, in particular, construction of Almaty-Kapshagay highway and a section of new railway line.
B.Smagulov noted that Kazakhstan and the Slovak Republic have great prospects for cooperation. ?Taking into account interest of Slovak business in our country, we have high development potential?, the Chairman of the Center said.
