Finland urged to participate in EXPO 2017 in Astana
During the meeting, the Kazakhstani parliamentarian and the Finnish diplomat praised dynamic character of commercial and economic ties between the two countries. Mr. Dzhakupov urged Finnish companies to take part in the upcoming EXPO 2017 event in Astana and said that more than 80 joint Kazakhstani-Finnish enterprises function in key sectors of Kazakhstani economy. It was noted that the new economic policy "Nurly zhol - Path to the Future" opens new horizons for entrepreneurs in Kazakhstan. The Majilis Speaker also drew attention of Ambassador Räisänen to vast potential of the newly established Eurasian Economic Union (EEU). The interlocutors spoke in favor of deepening of Kazakhstani-Finnish bilateral relations, especially the inter-parliamentary ones. Utmost attention was paid to forthcoming presidential elections in Kazakhstan and parliamentary elections in Finland as well.
