Fire kills elderly man, injures elderly woman

ASTANA. April 1. KAZINFORM A fire occurred in a private dwelling house in Uspenka village of Pavlodar region today at midnight, according to the Kazakh Ministry of Emergencies.

The fire was extinguished in 2.5 hours by 7 personnel and 2 units of fire service vehicles of Pavlodar regional department of emergencies. A 65-year-old man was found dead at the scene.

Another fire in a private house occurred in Smirnovo village of North Kazakhstan region on Saturday afternoon. It was eliminated in 1.5 hours. A 85-year-old woman was hospitalized with thermal burns.
