Fires kill two, 65 evacuated
ASTANA. January 11. KAZINFORM 65 people, including eight children, were evacuated after a fire broke out in a fourth-floor apartment of a nine-storey building in Semey Thursday evening, the Ministry of Emergencies told Kazinform.

The firefighting brigade of the East Kazakhstan emergency department put out the blaze in an hour. The body of a 40-year-old man was found at the scene.
Another fiery accident occurred in the city of Petropavlovsk. A 53-year-old man died Thursday after a fire was sparked at a residential building. The blaze covering 16 square meters was extinguished in two hours by the fire service of the North Kazakhstan emergency department.
