First barrels of oil produced at Kashagan oil field
ATYRAU. September 11. KAZINFORM North Caspian Operating Company B.V. (NCOC) participating in the development of the Kashagan oil field in Kazakhstan's sector of the Caspian Sea has produced first barrels today, the press service of the company informed.

The Kashagan oil field is an offshore oil field in Kazakhstan's zone of the Caspian Sea. The field, discovered in 2000, is located in the northern part of the Caspian Sea close to Atyrau and it is considered the world's largest discovery in last 30 years, combined with the Tengiz field.
