First flight from Turkistan lands at Samarkand airport
Qazaq Air operated the first international Turkistan-Samarkand flight to boost tourism cooperation between Central Asian countries, Kazinform News Agency cites the akimat’s press service.
The plane with 80 passengers aboard landed at the Samarkand airport on public holidays.
Deputy khakim of the city and representatives of local bodies greeted the first passengers at the airport.
As earlier reported, the flights will be operated twice a week on Fridays and Sundays by De-Havilland Dash 8-Q400 aircraft.
