First President?s educational grant ?Orken? to comprise KZT 728 000

ALMATY. March 24. KAZINFORM /Zhazira Dzhanabayeva/ On March 14, 2009 Kazakhstan Government adopted a resolution regarding the amount and rules of awarding First President?s educational grant ?Orken? to gifted children for studying at ?Intellectual Schools of the First President of Kazakhstan? specialized educational institutions, Kazinform has learnt from the press service of ?Orken? JSC.

The grant will be financed from the national budget. It amounts to KZT 728 000 per year. Students of the 7th-11th (12th) grades are allowed to participate in the contest which is planned to be held during the winter and summer vacations. The contest includes two levels. The first one provides for testing in specialized subjects and languages - Kazakh, Russian and English. Students whose scores will be 40% and more will compete further. The terms of admission, the place of receipt of documents as well as the dates of the contest will be published in mass media.
