First stage of military camp construction completes in Oral
Military unit's headquarters, two barracks, a checkpoint, a training ground, and access roads have been commissioned in Oral, Kazinform News Agency reports citing the akimat of the West Kazakhstan region.
The solemn opening of new facilities of the military unit No. 99250 of the Armed Forces was attended by Nariman Turegaliyev, akim (governor) of the West Kazakhstan region, the First Deputy Ministry of Defense of the Republic of Kazakhstan – Head of the General Staff of the Armed Forces, Sultan Kamaletdinov, and veterans of the Armed Forces.
Nariman Turegaliyev noted that the opening of these facilities was carried out in accordance with the Head of State's instructions to strengthen the military base.
“Within the framework of the President's instruction, construction of a military camp was carried out to improve the material base of servicemen. Land with a total area of 4.6 hectares was allocated from the Podstepnovsky rural district of the Terekti district of the region. We are witnessing the completion of the first stage of construction. Now the second stage is ahead. These works are aimed at the development of military infrastructure,” said the regional akim.
At the initial stage, the headquarters of the military unit, two barracks, a checkpoint, a drill ground and access roads have been put into operation.
The construction of educational and sports buildings, a canteen, a clubhouse, warehouses and the arrangement of the technical territory is envisaged in the future.
“Completion of the first stage of construction of the brigade's facilities is the result of close cooperation between our ministry and local executive bodies,” emphasized Sultan Kamaletdinov.
As reported earlier, Kazakhstan's Air Force has received new military aircraft from Spain.
