First Vice PM holds meeting on flood situation
ASTANA. KAZINFORM - Today Ukimet Uiy has held a telephone conference led by the Deputy Prime Minister of Kazakhstan Bakytzhan Sagintayev.
The roundtable has discussed the flood situation in the regions of Kazakhstan, according to the website primeminister.kz. The teleconference has been attended by representatives of the central government and local executive bodies. To date, flood situations persist in Akmola, Kostanay, Pavlodar, North Kazakhstan regions, as well as in some areas of East Kazakhstan, Karaganda, and Aktobe regions. Preventive and rescue measures to prevent negative effects of flooding are being taken in all regions of the country. Following the meeting, B.Sagintayev instructed akimats of regions, and cities of Astana and Almaty, together with the concerned government agencies to conduct daily monitoring of flooding situation.
