First Vice PM visits industrial facilities in Mangystau
AKTAU. March 5. KAZINFORM /Zhetibai Shakhanuly/ As earlier reported, First Vice Prime Minister Umirzak Shukeyev had visited a number of industrial facilities during his working trip to Mangystau oblast; Kazinform reports.
Aktau Steel Plant with 500.000 tons capacity per year provides 70 percent of the domestic demand. The plant?s products are also exported to Iran and Turkey. As part of the project USD 35 mln were utilized, USD 15 mln of which were provided by Kazakhstan Development Bank. ?We need government aid to make the plant work to at full capacity?, Director of the plant Azamat Suiyebayev said to Umirzak Shukeyev.
During the trip the First Vice Prime Minister visited MAEK-Kazatomprom enterprise. At present about 4,000 people employed at the enterprise.
Shukeyev also visited the Aktau International Sea Trade Port, and surveyed the work on extension of northern direction of the port. Construction of four oil and four freight terminals is planned.
