Five brucellosis cases detected in kids in Kostanay region

32 brucellosis cases, including five cases among children under 14 years, were confirmed over the current period, Kazinform Agency reports.

Brucellosis cases were registered in seven districts of Kostanay region with the highest cases recorded in Auliekol district, the sanitary and epidemiological control department of Kostanay region reports.

Brucellosis is a bacterial infection that spreads from animals to people. Its symptoms are fever, and joint, muscle, and back pain. It can be transmitted through contact with infected animals or unpasteurized dairy products.
