Five dead as heavy snowfalls hit U.S. East Coast
WASHINGTON. December 20. KAZINFORM. Heavy snowfalls engulfed the U.S. East Coast on Saturday paralyzing traffic and cutting power supplies in the region; Kazinform refers to RIA Novosti.

Five people were killed in snowstorm-related accidents as more than 30 cm (1 ft) of snow fell in Washington and neighboring states.
Washington's Reagan National Airport was shut down. Many airlines also cancelled their flights.
The snowstorm is moving north toward New York and Boston and is expected to reach Massachusetts on Sunday; Kazinform cites RIA Novosti.
