Five presidential candidates registered in Abkhazia

SUKHUMI. November 7. KAZINFORM The Abkhaz Central Elections Commission registered five presidential candidates on Friday, Kazinform refers to Itar-Tass.

These are Abkhaz Sea Shipping Company President Zaur Ardzinba, incumbent President Sergei Bagapsh, Ph.D. Vitaly Bganba, Economic Development Party Chairman Beslan Butba and former vice-president Raul Khadzhimba, a commission source told Itar-Tass.

Alexander Ankvab will run for vice-presidency together with Bagapsh.

The other duos are Butba - former interior minister Almasbei Kchach; Bganba - historian David Dasania, Khadzhimba - Abkhaz Humanitarian Research Institute Director Vasily Avidzba and Ardzinba - former head of the Ochamchira district administration Khrips Dzhopua.
