FM Saudabayev receives Head of OSCE ODIHR mission Daan Everts

ASTANA. March 1. KAZINFORM Kazakh Secretary of State-Minister of Foreign Affairs Kanat Saudabayev has received Head of the OSCE ODIHR Election Observation Mission to Kazakhstan Ambassador Daan Everts in Astana on February 28.

At the meeting the sides stated the spirit of the constructive and effective cooperation of the ODIHR with the Kazakh chairmanship in the OSCE in 2010; the Kazakh MFA's press service informs.

The Kazakh Foreign Minister told the guest about the preparations for the upcoming presidential elections, noting that "Kazakhstan attaches great significance to open, transparent and fair conduction of elections in accordance with international standards".

The Secretary of State-Minister of Foreign Affairs expressed gratitude to the Ambassador for operational deployment of the election monitoring mission, noting that the Kazakh MFA is ready to create all necessary conditions for full and effective activity of the mission.
