FMs of Kyrgyzstan and Tajikistan hold talks in Dushanbe

At the invitation of the Tajik side, Minister of Foreign Affairs of Kyrgyzstan Jeenbek Kulubaev arrived on Sunday in Dushanbe for official visit, Kabar reports.

As part of the official visit, a meeting was held between the Ministers of Foreign Affairs of Kyrgyzstan Jeenbek Kulubaev and Tajikistan Sirojiddin Mukhriddin.

During the negotiations, Kulubaev noted that Kyrgyzstan remains committed to further strengthening good neighborly relations with Tajikistan.

The head of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Kyrgyz Republic emphasized that the complete completion of the description of the Kyrgyz-Tajik state border along its entire length will allow the parties to intensify bilateral cooperation in all areas of mutual interest. The Kyrgyz side is committed to a speedy and mutually beneficial resolution of the issue of delimitation of the Kyrgyz-Tajik state border, taking into account the interests of each party.

The heads of the foreign affairs departments of the two countries discussed the state and prospects of Kyrgyz-Tajik relations in the political, trade, economic, cultural and humanitarian spheres.

An exchange of views took place on the situation in the world and the region.

The parties also discussed interaction within the framework of cooperation in the UN, OSCE, SCO and other international organizations.

As a result of the negotiations, a Cooperation Program between the Ministries of Foreign Affairs of Kyrgyzstan and Tajikistan for 2024-2026 was signed.
