Foreign companies ready to invest $81.5mln in Zhambyl region’s economy
Manufacture and processing of agricultural products, cattle fattening, transport infrastructure – what projects do companies from Switzerland, Türkiye and Saudi Arabia plan to invest in Zhambyl region, is in the article from Kazinform News Agency.
As reported, the VI Kazakhstan Global Investment Roundtable held November 17 in Astana with the participation of Prime Minister Alikhan Smailov ended with signing contracts worth 1.6 billion US dollars with foreign companies.
The annual event brings together the heads of large industrial enterprises, financial analysts, politicians and experts from all over the world. This year, the event saw the participants from Great Britain, Vietnam, Germany, Canada, Qatar, China, UAE, Saudi Arabia, the U.S., Türkiye, France, Czech Republic and other countries.
During the KGIR-2023, governor of Zhambyl region Yerbol Karashukeyev signed agreements to the amount of 81.5 million US dollars, enabling to create new innovative productions and jobs in the region.
Thus, the region plans to cooperate with Switzerland’s INOKS Capital in manufacture of agricultural products. Local authorities consider some projects in cattle fattening, meat and vegetable products processing and development of infrastructure and irrigation systems, as part of cooperation with Saudi company Al Rajhi International for Investment.
More than 900 locals are expected to be employed due to the construction and launch of a multifunctional service station together with Türkiye’s YDA İnşaat Sanayi ve Ticaret A.Ş. The implementation of the project will let increase passenger and cargo turnover and improve motorway service. The service station will include a hotel, a petrol station, an electric vehicle charging station and maintenance service, a food court, shops, and a children’s play area.
