Foreign Minister Murat Nurtleu meets OTS Secretary General Kubanychbek Omuraliyev in Astana

On the threshold of the 10th jubilee Summit of the Organization of Turkic States (OTS), Deputy Prime Minister – Minister of Foreign Affairs of Kazakhstan Murat Nurtleu met with Secretary General of the OTS Kubanychbek Omuraliyev, Kazinform News Agency reports citing the MFA press office.

Murat Nurtleu noted that Kazakhstan as the initiator of creation of the OTS attaches special importance to the Turkic integration issues. He highly praised the activity of the OTS Secretariat on preparation for the jubilee event. The Kazakh diplomat also briefed about the concept of Kazakhstan’s chairmanship in the OTS in 2023-2024.

Kubanychbek Omuraliyev informed Murat Nurtleu about the organization’s current activity. He said that the jubilee forum would become a bright event in the OTS history and expressed readiness to closely cooperate with Kazakhstan, future presiding country of the OTS.

The sides also discussed the prospects for the development of cooperation in political, trade-investment, cultural-humanitarian spheres and agreed to enhance economic cooperation.
