Foreign NGOs to take part in IV Civil Forum of Kazakhstan

sp;ASTANA.  November 16. KAZINFORM /Rasul Bakhamov/ Foreign non-governmental organizations will take part for the first time in the forthcoming IV Civil Forum of Kazakhstan, Vice Minister of Culture and Information Gaziz Telebayev has informed at a sitting of the Public Council today.

"To date the civil sector of Kazakhstan has turned into a strong public sector and its influence and role has grown significantly. At present the civil sector of the country establishes direct contacts with the foreign NGOs. Over ten foreign NGOs from Asian and European countries are expected to arrive in Kazakhstan for the forum. Those who can not to participate in it send their letters of intention to tune up cooperation with the Kazakh NGOs", he said.

"As is known, Kazakhstan's impact on the international arena has changed in the last years. Forthcoming forums of the NGOs under the aegis of the CICA and OSCE scheduled for 2010 will demonstrate the level of the Kazakhstan's civil sector and how it meets all modern requirements and democratic principles", the Vice minister added.

The sitting was held by the Civil Alliance of Kazakhstan under the support of the Ministry of Culture and Information.

The IV civil Forum is scheduled for late November.
