France invested over USD 18 bln into Kazakhstan's economy
The Kazakh President said the cooperation between Kazakhstan and France in various spheres embarked on a new level, Kazinform Agency reports.
“France is an important and reliable partner of Kazakhstan in Europe. Last year the commodity turnover between the nations grew by 30% to reach 4 billion US dollars,” Kazakh President Kassym-Jomart Tokayev told the extended-attendance talks as part of the French President’s visit to Kazakhstan.
As stated there, for the past eight months the sales increased by 21% as compared to the last year and reached 2.7 billion US dollars.
Earlier France invested some 18.7 billion US dollars into Kazakhstan. The joint projects embrace the energy, peaceful atom, mining, chemical, machine building, production of building materials, aerospace, pharmaceuticals industries, and others. The said projects will be debated in detail at the Kazakhstan-France Business Forum.
