Franz Liszt music played in Astana

ASTANA. February 28. KAZINFORM /Zhanna Korkitova/ A music event 'Hungarian rhapsodies' is being held now in the Museum of the First President in Astana.

This event is dedicated to three dates - celebration of the 200^th birthday of Franz Liszt, presidency of Hungary in the EU and the 20^th anniversary of independence of Kazakhstan.

The Museum of the First President holds this event within its project 'Dialogue through culture'. The museum has created such a 'cultural bridge' between Kazakhstan and world society for more than three years within its project.

"The concert puts together three great dates and one of them is celebration of the 20^th anniversary of independence of Kazakhstan. Hungary was one of the first countries that recognized Kazakhstan as an independent country. Our countries have a lot in common history. Thanks to this event we have brought our music to your country represented by famous Hungarian pianist," Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Hungary to Kazakhstan Imre Laslotski said.
