French delegation to OSCE Summit to be headed by Prime Minister Francois Fillon

ASTANA. November 29. KAZINFORM /Damir Baimanov/ President of France Nicolas Sarkozy will not participate in the OSCE Summit in Astana on December 1-2. The French delegation will be headed by Prime Minister of this country Francois Fillon, Kazinform has learnt from Director of the OSCE Department of the Kazakh Foreign Affairs Ministry, Ambassador-at-Large Serzhan Abdykarimov who has informed of it at a briefing today.

He explained that such decision was taken in Paris and N. Sarkozy had already sent a letter to President Nursultan Nazarbayev.

Along with this, S. Abdykarimov noted that several heads of state would not visit Astana. However, the Summit will not lose its importance since the heads of foreign delegations are not less authoritative figures.
