French Foreign Minister on his way to Uzbekistan

TASHKENT. March 2. KAZINFORM Foreign Affairs Minister of France Laurent Fabius is going to pay a working visit to Uzbekistan today, a statement by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Uzbekistan says.

The meeting with President of Uzbekistan Islam Karimov and negotiations at the Uzbek Foreign Ministry are expected during the visit.

According to the program of the visit, meetings between the heads of top-ranking French companies and businessmen of Uzbekistan and the signing of a memorandum of mutual understanding between the Government of Uzbekistan and the French Development Agency are to take place.

As reported earlier, Mr. Fabius met with President of Kazakhstan Nursultan Nazarbayev and his Kazakh counterpart Yerlan Idrissov in Astana on March 1.
