French schools to open in Astana and Almaty before 2025

 The enlightenment ministry revealed plans to open French schools in Kazakhstan, Kazinform News Agency correspondent reports. 

Within the official visit of French President Emmanuel Macron on November 1, 2023 to Kazakhstan the agreement between the Kazakh and French governments to open international (French) schools and French language instruction at educational facilities of Kazakhstan was signed… As part of the agreement, schools with French language of instruction are to open in Astana and Almaty before 2025, the ministry said.

It is expected that subjects are to be taught mainly in French as well as in Kazakh, Russian and English. Obligatory subjects are to include the Kazakh language, History and Geography.
