French schools to open in Kazakhstan

The Kazakh President said that the people of Kazakhstan and France have a lot in common, Kazinform Agency reports.

"Great son of the Kazakh people translated the works of famous French poet Jean de La Fontaine. Many Alash Movement activists spoke French fluently and studied the culture and political experience of France. Well-known Kazakh singer Amre sang songs in France, and Kazakh paluan Kazhymukan also performed in the capital of France," said Kassym-Jomart Tokayev during the joint statement with the President of France.

As stated there, Kazakhstan and France signed several agreements aimed at inaugurating French schools in Kazakhstan, French language development, and widening academic ties.

Great attention was paid to the development of projects in the sphere of education and science, highlighting the significance of cultural and humanitarian
