Frost persists in most parts of Kazakhstan Dec 14
The cold North-West cyclone still affects most parts of Kazakhstan on Friday, December 15, due to which frosty weather and no precipitation is forecast, Kazinform News Agency cites Kazhydromet.
Snowfall is expected in western regions, while southern and southeastern regions will be hit by ground blizzard. Dust storm is predicted for the south, east of Atyrau region, and east of Mangistau region. Foggy conditions are forecast in southern and mountainous districts of Zhambyl region. Wind speed will increase across the country.
Overnight frosts up to -33-38°C persist in northern and mountainous districts of Almaty, Zhambyl regions. The mercury will drop to -31,-36°C in central and mountainous districts of Zhetysu region.
Wind speed in the mountain passes of Turkistan region and in the northeast of Zhambyl region will sometimes exceed 30 meters per second.
