G. Abdykalikova met with recipient of Nobel Peace Prize from Yemen T. Karman
During the meeting, the Secretary of State familiarized T. Karman with the achievements of Kazakhstan in the sphere of protection of rights and expansion of women's rights over the years of independence of Kazakhstan, the press service of the Akorda informs.
G. Abdykalikova noted that the success of Kazakhstan is proved by the gender equality rankings published in late October 2012 by the analytical group of the World Economic Forum where Kazakhstan is ranked 32nd among 135 countries.
G. Abdykalikova highly praised the contribution of T. Karman to the work on non-violent struggle for protection of women and their rights for equal participation in all state processes which she received the Nobel Prize for in 2011.
Upon completion of the meeting, G. Abdykalikova wished T. Karman success in her work and she also wished peace and stability to Yemen.
