GABDOLKHAKIM BOKEIKHANOV

GABDOLKHAKIM NURMUKHAMEDULY BOKEIKHANOV (1896-1938) - a state and public figure, offspring of Bokei Khan, brother of famous musician Makhambet Bokeikhanov.

He was born in the Bokei Horde. He studied at the Moscow Agricultural Academy. In 1919 as a member of the Kazakh Revolutionary Committee Gabdolkhakim negotiated with heads of the Alashorda to induce them to cooperate with the Soviet power. He was engaged in recruitment and helped members of the Alash movement in appointment to major posts. Gabdolkhakim was arrested in 1938 and rehabilitated in 1957.
