Gas leak almost kills a family of 6

UST KAMENOGORSK. KAZINFORM - A gas leak has sent a family of six to a hospital in Semey, officials say.

The parents and four kids aged 8, 6, 6 and 1 were rushed to the local hospital with carbon monoxide poisoning. According to doctors, their condition is stable. A 37-year-old man was hospitalized with carbon monoxide poisoning in the town of Zyryanovsk as well. He was evacuated from his own apartment that caught fire early Wednesday morning. Firefighters in Semey and Zyryanovsk are to determine the cause of the gas leak and the apartment fire.
