GDP growth in Jan-Nov 2010 to make 7.2% - Statistics Agency

ASTANA. December 13. KAZINFORM /Murat Zhakeyev/ Kazakhstan's GDP is expected to rise by 7.2% following 11 months of 2010. Short-term economic indicator in January-November made 107.2%. The GDP will grow in these limits. Chairman of the Kazakh Statistics Agency Alikhan Smailov announced it at a briefing in Astana today.

"In January-September 2010 GDP in Kazakhstan rose by 7.5% and in January-October this figure made 7.1%. In January-November short-term economic indicator which makes two-third of the GDP rose by 7.2%. These are the latest data", A. Smailov noted.

"Besides, the volume of industrial output grew by 10.5% and made KZT 10 bln 568 mln. In ore-mining industry this figure made 5.7% and in processing industry it was 18.8%", he added.
