GDP growth in Kazakhstan in 2009 expected at the level of 2%: B. Sultanov

KAZINFORM /Zauresh Balkenova/ The GDP growth in Kazakhstan for 2009 is expected to be up to 2 per cent, the level of unemployment will not exceed 8 per cent, inflation is to be up to 9 per cent. Minister of Economy and Budget Planning of Kazakhstan Bakhyt Sultanov voiced these datea in his report ?On adoption of joint declaration of the RK Government , the National Bank of Kazakhstan and FSA on main directions of economic policy for 2009?, Kazinform reports.

As a result of joint actions of Monetary and Government executive bodies of all levels the GDP growth will amount about to 2 per cent in 2009 and the level of unemployment will not exceed 8 per cent. Inflation is expected to be up to 9 per cent at the end of 2009, B. Sultanov informed. ?Promotion of social stability and support of macroeconomic balance including stimulation of the growth of economy and business activity will be the main goals of economic policy of the Government, National Bank and FSA in 2009?, the Head of the Ministry noted.
