General Prosecutors of Kazakhstan, Russia and Belarus meet in Minsk
The sides have discussed the issues of cooperation in the conditions of the Common Economic Space, in particular related to the trafficking of consumer goods, illegal importation and registration of vehicles, combatting crime in the sphere of illegal VAT refunds, as well as the creation of an expert group to develop solutions to the issues in the framework of the Eurasian Economic Union, the statement reads. The Attorney General of Kazakhstan Askhat Daulbayev also took part in the first organizational meeting of the Interstate Council for Anti-Corruption held in Minsk. The forum was attended by representatives of the competent authorities of Armenia, Belarus, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Russia, and Tajikistan. The round table held a wide-ranging discussion on the improvement of legal mechanisms for the prevention and suppression of corruption offenses. Interstate Council for Anti-Corruption is a body of sectoral cooperation of the CIS, which was established by the heads of six states (Armenia, Belarus, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Russia and Tajikistan).
